Djorden and Barlow had a competitive first round. The Brazilian, despite knowing the American's knockout power, showed quality striking and evened the score.
The two fighters engaged in one of the best rounds of the year in the UFC. Djorden felt a blow from Barlow and nearly ended up knocked out, but he showed heart, turned the situation around, and the two exchanged heavy punches standing up and at close range. It seemed like one of them would go down at any moment, but that didn't happen.
The high pace continued into the third round. With his heart on his sleeve, Djorden went on the offensive, landed a punch on Barlow's face, and ended up on top. The Brazilian capitalized on the position, unleashing ground and pound and hurting the American. The fight remained open, and the fighters exchanged blows à la Max Holloway vs. Justin Gaethje . What a fight!
