Charles of the Bronx made history again in the UFC. This Saturday (11), in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian did not let his fans down and recovered in the best possible way in the biggest MMA organization in the world. In the main fight, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) submitted Mateusz gamrot in the second round, showing off all his quality and technique in grappling.

From the first round, Charles showed his ground game. And no wonder, since the Brazilian is the greatest finisher in UFC history, now with 17 victories using this method. After being taken down by Gamrot, the former champion didn't despair and lunged at the latter's leg. The athlete then attempted to submit the Polish fighter via rear-naked choke, but was unsuccessful.
In the second round, Charles sealed the fight. The Brazilian landed a beautiful takedown on Gamrot, took his back, and, when he had the opportunity, quickly finished him with a tight rear-naked choke. It's true that the Pole is a grappling specialist, but on the ground, Do Bronx proved he's the boss. In fact, the São Paulo native became the first professional to submit the European. As expected, the veteran celebrated his victory.
