Popó blasts Werdum and Wanderlei Silva's coach: 'The Council should ban them from boxing'

Last Monday (6), in São Paulo, Acelino Popo announced his retirement from boxing, but he didn't forget André Dida and Fabricio Werdum. In September, the former world boxing champion won Wanderlei Silva by disqualification, before chaos took over the ring. In it, the protagonists of the action got the worst of it. Angered by the episode, the athlete didn't spare the members of the 'Mad Dog' team.

In the ring, Wand was knocked out by Popó's son, while Acelino was punched by Dida, his opponent's coach, and saw Werdum fight with members of his team. Speaking to reporters at the press conference, Fight Music Show, the Bahian recalled the episode and criticized the duo.

It's worth noting that Werdum recently suggested that Dida and Popó settle their differences in a boxing match. The "Mad Dog" coach subsequently agreed to his friend's idea. However, Acelino denied any interest in facing André and stressed that the duo's presence in the traditional sport is not beneficial due to their behavior in the ring.

Suspension in boxing
