British boxing lost one of its biggest names this Saturday (14). Ricky Hatton, former world champion in two weight classes, was found dead at his home in Hyde, Manchester (ENG). The information was released by 'Sky News' and later confirmed by local police, who stated that there was no evidence of suspicious circumstances associated with the death.
Known worldwide as 'The Hitman', Hatton built one of the most remarkable careers in the sport between the late 1990s and early 2010s.

A professional since 1997, the boxer ended his career in the ring in 2012 with a record of 45 wins (32 by knockout) and only three losses. During that time, he won world titles in the super lightweight and welterweight divisions, and also faced the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.
Ricky Hatton would make his boxing return in December
Even after retiring, Ricky Hatton maintained a strong connection with boxing, whether as a commentator, trainer, or manager. The British fighter recently announced a surprising return to the ring.
In July of this year, he revealed that he would fight again in a special exhibition scheduled for December 2, 2025, in Dubai, against the boxer from the United Arab Emirates, Eisa Al Dah.
