Tom Aspinall is not at all fond of Michael Chandler's fighting style. The American's last fight was a loss to the heavyweight champion's protégé (up to 120,2kg): Paddy Pimblett . The fight, at UFC 314 , ended in a knockout in the third round. Aspinall appeared in a training video alongside 'The Buddy' in which he criticizes the veteran's fighting style.

“He has a bad fight IQ. … It’s strange because he’s obviously a very fit guy, but if you run for five minutes, nobody’s going to be fit, right? He just goes in there, throws from here, swings, all he does is go full throttle,” said Tom Aspinall in the video.
Three-time Bellator champion Michael Chandler has seven fights in the UFC. He has only two wins, against Dan Hooker and Tony Ferguson . Despite this, he has five post-fight bonuses, three of them for 'Fight of the Night'. Aspinall is surprised by the statistic and recalled 'Iron's' loss to Charles do Bronx , when he thought Pimblett would win.
“It’s crazy for someone who has so many fights, I’m surprised. I was watching him and thinking, ‘There’s no way Paddy can lose to this guy.’ I know a lot of people were saying online, ‘He’s a tough fight for Paddy.’ I was thinking, ‘Easy fight for Paddy.’ And it was pretty easy,” the Englishman stated.

It didn't take long for the heavyweight champion's critical comments to catch Chandler's attention, who responded on the social network ' Threads'. He taunted his opponent for failing to secure the highly anticipated fight against Jon Jones.
“Didn’t that asshole say that like 3 years ago? And then he waited as long for Jon as I waited for Conor after he criticized me for waiting for Conor? Cool,” Chandler wrote.
