It's now official. On the morning of this Thursday (24), the Ultimate announced, through a post on social media, the next fight of Jailton Malhadinho . The heavyweight from Bahia will face the Russian Alexander Volkov at UFC 321, an event that takes place on October 25th, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The duel between Jailton Malhadinho and Alexander Volkov could qualify the winner for the next heavyweight title fight. The heavyweight title will be at stake in the main event of UFC 321, when Tom Aspinall defends his undisputed title for the first time against former interim champion Ciryl Gane.

Ranked fifth in his weight class, Jailton Malhadinho has accumulated eight wins in nine fights since joining the UFC through the Contender Series in 2021. Recently, the fighter from Bahia recovered from his only loss in the octagon, against Curtis Blaydes , with a winning streak against Alexander Romanov and, more recently, Serghei Spivac , both in the first round.
Alexander Volkov , the Brazilian's opponent, also dreams of his first chance to fight for the UFC belt. About to complete 50 career fights, the Russian had a four-fight winning streak interrupted by a controversial loss to Ciryl Gane in December 2024.
UFC 321 has three fights confirmed so far
The fight between Jailton Malhadinho and Alexander Volkov is one of three fights confirmed for UFC 321 so far. In addition to the heavyweight title fight between Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane , the UFC has confirmed a light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) bout between Aleksandar Rakic and Azamat Murzakanov for the Abu Dhabi event.
