Held in New Orleans, Louisiana, the promotion marks the end of the era Dustin poirier. Um momento marcante para a história do UFC. Dustin Poirier fará sua última luta neste sábado (19). O local escolhido foi o mais próximo possível de casa. Nascido no estado da Lousiana, o lutador encerra sua brilhante carreira em Nova Orleans.
The 'Diamond' has been shining in the UFC since 2011, with over 30 fights on his record. The athlete began building his legacy in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg), with notable victories. In 2015, after being brutally defeated by McGregor, he moved up a weight class.
Nos leves (até 70,3kg.), foi justamente contra Max Holloway – no segundo encontro entre os dois – que Poirier conquistou o cinturão interino da divisão. Mesmo derrotado por ninguém menos que Khabib Nurmagomedov na unificação, ele se manteve entre os grandes da categoria. Outro momento marcante da carreira foi a trilogia com Conor McGregor. Nas duas derradeiras vezes que se encontraram, Dustin nocauteou o irlandês.

O cinturão BMF do UFC é um título não oficial criado para a luta entre Conor McGregor e Nate Diaz no UFC 229. O termo ‘BMF’ significa ‘Baddest Mother Fucker’ (algo como ‘o mais durão’ ou ‘O Mais Malvado’), simbolizando a rivalidade e a intensidade da luta entre os dois atletas. Embora não seja oficial, o cinturão BMF ganhou notoriedade e se tornou um símbolo da história do MMA. E um motivo a mais para não perder nada da luta principal do UFC 318.

Paulo Borrachinha faces Roman Kopylov in the co-main event of UFC 318, looking to get back on the winning track. The middleweight (up to 83,9kg) needs a victory. In his last five fights, the Brazilian has only had his arm raised once, against Luck Rockhold. He was defeated by Sean Strickland, Robert Whittaker, and Marvin Vetori.

No card principal do UFC 318, o brasileiro enfrenta Dan Ige em busca da primeira vitória no Ultimate e da afirmação definitiva entre os melhores do planeta.
A estreia de Patrício no UFC, em abril deste ano, foi diante do mexicano Yair Rodríguez, em uma luta dura em que o brasileiro acabou sendo derrotado por decisão. Além de Paulo Borrachinha e Patrício Pitbull, três atletas brasileiros defendem as cores verde e amarela em Nova Orleans. No card preliminar, Nicolle Caliari abre os trabalhos do UFC contra Carli Judice em duelo pela divisão peso mosca (até 56,7kg.). A paranaense busca a primeira vitória na organização. Depois de ingressar na empresa pelo Dana White Contender Series, a lutadora perdeu para Ernesta Kareckaite na estreia por decisão dividida.
Brunno Hulk enfrenta Jackson McVey na luta seguinte. O peso médio (até 83,9kg.) vem de vitória sobre Armen Petrosyan e quer estabelecer sequência enfrentando o norte-americano que teve duas lutas canceladas recentemente.
No último duelo da primeira parte do evento, o peso galo (até 62,1kg.) Vinícius LokDog mede forças com Kyler Phillips.
