Renato Moicano expressed frustration when commenting on the possibility of being scheduled for the main event of UFC Rio, which was scheduled to take place in November. The fighter, who is coming off two consecutive losses, questioned the UFC's decision to place him in a prominent position at the event, considering the difficult moment in his career.

In an interview with the channel 'Tarso Doria – MMA e Resenha', Moicano was direct and reflected on the impact that his current moment would have on the organization.

"I think this UFC Rio card is going to be a bad one. Tell me: who's going to fight? Moicano can't be in the main event. Coming off two losses? How are you going to have a failed main event like that? I'm serious, I'm not joking," Moicano said in an interview with the channel 'Tarso Doria – MMA e Resenha'.

Despite the criticism, Moicano suggested an alternative for the UFC, suggesting that a fight against Michael chandler would be more interesting and advantageous for the event. He also recognized the potential of a matchup with the former title challenger, who is also seeking recovery within the organization after recent losses.
