In an announcement that could go down in MMA history, Donald Trump has shaken up the fighting world by revealing during a speech to supporters in Iowa that the UFC may be about to hold a an event in the White House gardensa, seat of the United States government.
The idea caught the attention of none other than Conor McGregor, the biggest star ever produced by the Ultimate. In a post on 'X' (formerly Twitter), the Irishman showed enthusiasm for the proposal and, even though he hasn't fought for almost four years, he showed himself willing to participate.

At 36, Conor McGregor has not entered the octagon since July 2021, when he was defeated by Dustin poirier. His last victory came in January 2020, against Donald Cerrone.

An MMA fan, Donald Trump is a regular at UFC events. The president's last appearance was at UFC 316, in June, when Merab Dvalishvili defended the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg) against Sean O'Malley and Kayla harrison was also crowned champion in the bantamweight division, against Julianna Pena.

Donald Trump's speech announcing the UFC White House was shared by Ultimate on social media of the organization, generating engagement not only from fans, but from several fighters who expressed themselves and asked for a spot in the event.
Names like the bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili, The Brazilians Caio Borralho, Edson Barboza, Gilbert Durinho, Johnny Walker and even retired athletes like Chris Weidman e Karolina Kowalkiewicz reacted to the publication and showed interest in fighting in the White House.
