Brazilian shows off destroyed jaw after UFC knockout: 'Damn, that hurt'

Besides the defeat, Nikolas Motta suffered two fractures of the jaw as a result of the UFC Baku. The Brazilian had to undergo surgery after be knocked out by Nazim Sadykhov in the second round of the duel held in Azerbaijan on July 21. According to the lightweight (up to 70,3 kg), the expectation is that recovery will require just over two months.

“I think at the beginning of the second round, I got hit with a cross and I thought, ‘F*ck, that hurt.’ I felt my tooth kind of moving. I thought it was broken. After the fight, we always have to go to the hospital for tests after losing by TKO or knockout, and when they did the test, they showed two fractures in my jaw,” Nikolas Morra explained to journalist Guilherme Cruz in an interview with 'MMA Fighting'.

Instead of returning to Thailand, where he trains, the athlete went to Las Vegas where the situation was analyzed by a dentist. According to Nikolas, the specialist stated that a cyst caused by a wisdom tooth had weakened the jaw, which contributed to the fracture.

Nazim Sadykhov e Nikolas Motta won the bonuses of 'Fight of the Night' and 'Performances of the Night' in UFC Baku.
