New lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.), Ilia Topuria shocked the world again after brutally knocking out Charles of the Bronx No. UFC 317. The bookmakers' favorite, the Spanish-Georgian needed just a few minutes to put the Brazilian out of the game and lived up to his promises during the promotion of the fight.

Undefeated in MMA and on the rise in his career, the fighter achieved his ninth UFC triumph and third consecutive knockout against a former champion. Previously questioned whether he would be successful in changing weight, the athlete now exudes more confidence and promises to beat everyone who comes before him in the octagon.

“I’m not invincible. On the contrary, I feel like I can be beaten and that’s why I work so hard and put in so much dedication. And that’s why I do the job the way I do. I don’t want to leave anything out there (in the octagon). The work is so well done that I feel like there’s no doubt left. That’s why I celebrated (the victory over Do Bronx) the night before, because I felt like the victory was built and I should celebrate at the end of the preparation,” said Topuria.

Finally, the fighter highlighted his own merits in reaching a high level in the sport.
