Alexandre Pantoja defended his UFC flyweight title (up to 56,7kg) for the fourth time. This Saturday (28), the Rio native defeated challenger Kai Kara-France in the co-main event of UFC 317, at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). Pantoja once again used the classic rear-naked choke in the third round to remain the owner of the division.

In the images (see below), it is possible to follow the final moment of the fight. Alexandre climbed onto the New Zealander's back, grabbed his neck and the challenger had nowhere to run. He was forced to tap out.
The victory reaffirms the Brazilian's dominance. Pantoja was the favorite in the duel and confirmed his preference. Superior throughout the fight, the Brazilian adds another title defense to his record, bringing his total to 30 wins with only five losses. Having been challenged by Joshua Van from the previous fight, Alexandre accepted the duel with the Burmese fighter, and a face-off took place right there in the octagon.
Kai Kara-France failed to beat Alexandre Pantoja again, who was defeated in a fight on TUF – The Ultimate Fighter. With this Saturday's result (28), he records his 12th defeat. The New Zealander has 25 wins and one 'no contest'.
