Numbered weekend is no joke! The anticipation is growing and there is no shortage of reasons to follow the card from start to finish. On the first Saturday of June, UFC 316 puts the two bantamweight belts (up to 61,2 kg) at stake, with Merab Dvalishvili vs Sean O'Malley in the main fight and Julianna Pena x Kayla harrison in the co-principal.
If the stories of the title holders are not enough to make this event huge, know that there is a gala debutant on the main card and many Brazilians in the octagon to defend the green and yellow colors.

1) Rematch for the belt
Nine months later Merab Dvalishvili win the bantamweight belt from Sean O'Malley, the rematch is granted to the American. In the famous UFC Night, which marked the 306th edition of the event, the two fought in the main event of the Sphere, in Las Vegas, and the Georgian came out on top after five rounds. He took the title by unanimous decision of the judges. Four months later, he made his first defense against Umar Nurmagomedov, also with a victory in the decision.
After friendly encounters interspersed with creative exchanges of barbs, the fighters will meet again in the octagon in Newark, New Jersey (USA). The current champion exudes confidence and 'Suga' says he has dedicated himself much more in this preparation. Who will come out on top? The main fight of the event will tell us.

Vincent Luque is going through a period of ups and downs in the UFC. The current 14th ranked welterweight (up to 77kg) found Belal Muhammad | along the way, in April 2022. and since then he has not been able to get going. He lost to the American of Palestinian descent, then suffered a defeat to Geoff neal, won Rafael dos Anjos and lost the next fight again, when he faced Joaquin buckley.
But not UFC 310, in December, the 'Silent Assassin' had a brilliant victory over Themba Gorimbo by finishing him after just 52 seconds of fighting. As good Brazilians, we can only hope that the athlete will remain in the division and, more importantly, that the fighter will resume his rise among the welterweight division. To do so, Luque will have to go through Kevin holland in the first fight of the main card.
4) Brazil in the octagon!

The green-yellow squad is very well represented in UFC 316. Flyweight (up to 56,7 kg.) Ariane Lipski faces Cong Wang in the preliminaries, after having difficulty making weight, going up on the scale more than two kilos. Still in the first part of the event, Brendson Ribeiro will you face it Azamat Murzakanov in a light heavyweight duel (up to 93 kg).
In the men's flyweight division, Bruno 'Bulldoguinho' finally measures forces with Joshua Van, after the fight was postponed from UFC 313. The Brazilian will try to get back to winning ways after being defeated by Manel kape No. UFC Tampa.
