After a 15-year relationship with the company, which ended in 2022, Nate Diaz is willing to return to the UFC. Despite his time away from the sport, the 40-year-old fighter would sign a new contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, provided he was promised some names that interested him.

In an interview on the podcast 'The HJR', the younger of the Diaz brothers explained his absence from the world's largest MMA organization and revealed that he would return to the company on the condition of facing important names in the roster, such as Max Holloway , Ilia Topuria , and even Conor McGregor.
“Those are the guys I’d like to fight. Like Max Holloway . I’d like to fight that other guy (Topuria). He’s very good, but he’s smaller than me. I’m done with the 68kg category, I’m fine. It’s always been (a difficult weight cut), since I was 18, it’s been difficult. I’ll continue in the 77kg category. I’ll fight at 82kg too,” Diaz told 'The HJR Podcast'.
'Notorious' was mentioned as an obvious fight. Nate Diaz stated he was 'certain' the duel would happen.
"In time, for sure, when he comes back, I'm sure we'll fight. He and I definitely have unfinished business. It has to happen," said Nate Diaz.
The American said goodbye to the octagon in September 2022, when he defeated Tony Ferguson with a submission in the fourth round. Since then, Nate has faced Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal in boxing and was defeated on both occasions.
