Melquizael Costa is on his way to becoming the fighter with the most wins in a year in the UFC. The 'Dalmatian', who had his arm raised twice in the 2025 season, repeated the feat in UFC Las Vegas 106. The Brazilian shook julian erosa in the first round and led the fight to victory by judges' decision.

With this result, Melk now has 24 wins in his career and dreams of a place in the division's Top 15. Erosa, at 35 years old, reached his 12th defeat and saw his streak of three positive results broken.
Melquizael almost knocks out but wins on points at UFC Vegas 106
Early on, Melquizael showed a high level of fighting on his feet, while his opponent seemed careless, with his guard down. The Brazilian shook the American with a superman punch, then with a high kick, and a few more times with counterattacks after attacks from Julian. At the end of the round, Erosa managed to take him down, but there was no more time to work.
In the second round, Erosa continued to march forward, while the Brazilian landed precise counter blows. Halfway through the round, the American managed to take him down again, but Melk got up easily. In the final minute, both picked up the pace and exchanged blows in the center of the cage.
In the last round, Erosa knew he needed a knockout and went all out. However, he was already showing clear signs of fatigue and was easily avoided by Melquizael. Halfway through the round, Julian abandoned any strategy and just started walking forward, ignoring his fatigue and throwing everything he had at the Brazilian.
After the three rounds, Melquizael Costa had his arm raised in the judges' decision.
