Without any scares, Gilbert Durinho makes weight and confirms main fight at UFC Vegas 106

The ten members of the 'Brazilian Squad' confirmed their participation in UFC Vegas 106 after strictly complying with the weight limits during the official ceremony held this Friday (16), in Las Vegas (USA). Led by Gilbert Durinho, the Brazilian athletes did not register any setbacks on the scale and guaranteed the clashes scheduled for this Saturday (17).

The highlight was the main duel between Gilbert Durinho e MichaelMorales, two of the top 15 names in the welterweight division (up to 77kg). The Brazilian weighed in at 77,1kg, while the heavier Ecuadorian arrived at 77,3kg.

In the co-main fight, Rodolfo Bellato  maintained the Brazilian tradition of precision by making weight without difficulty (93,2 kg) to face the Scot Paul Craig, 200g. lighter., in a fight valid for the light heavyweights.

Still on the main card, two other Brazilians caught attention: Melquizael Costa (65,7 kg), which faces julian erosa in the featherweight category, and Mairon Santos (70,5 kg), debuting in the lightweight division after winning The Ultimate Fighter against Sodiq Yussuf.

In the preliminary fights, Brazil will have representatives in five matches. In the bantamweight division, Luana Santos (61,7kg.) and Tainara Lisbon (61,4 kg.) star in a national duel.

Denise Gomes, in turn, confirmed 52,1 kg and seeks to continue his rise in the strawweight division against Elise Reed, which also passed with the same weight.

In the light ones, Matheus Camilo (70,3 kg), a UFC debutant, faces Gabriel Green. They weighed 70,3 kg and 70 kg, respectively.

the veteran Thiago Moses passed lighter, with 70,5 kg, compared to the opponent Jared gordon, which weighed 70,7 kg.

The most tense moment was due to Luana pinheiro (52,3 kg), the last to step on the scale. The woman from Paraíba weighed 400 grams more than the experienced Tecia Pennington (51,9 kg) and secured the fight in the strawweight division (up to 52,1 kg).
