Now things are getting serious! The relentless debate about who would win a battle between 100 men and a silverback gorilla has reached the UFC legend Jon Jones. The heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) decided to give his opinion on this debate that invaded social media in recent weeks and that has already received the point of view of other fighters from Ultimate, as Georges St Pierre, Conor McGregor e Cory Sandhagen.

Jon Jones reacted to the debate with good humor and even defended the 'poor gorilla', but he was also rational in his response. In an interview with 'TMZSports', the UFC GOAT made a point of remembering that humans are the dominant predators on the planet.

“That’s a good choice, I would love to be one of the hundred. I think it’s a very funny subject, it seems like everyone is serious about fighting this damn gorilla. What did the gorilla do to us? What did he do? Yeah, it’s a funny debate. A hundred men definitely beat a gorilla. When you think about human intelligence, we’ve conquered the planet, so the animals that live on it shouldn’t be a problem for us,” Jones explained.

Of course, the UFC champion was asked if he could take on the gorilla alone. The answer wasn't quite as confident, but 'Bones' did say that if he were part of one of the 100 men, he would want a prominent role within the horde.

“Definitely not by myself, I would need a lot of help, but I think if you get a bunch of guys from the NFL roster, a bunch of heavier guys from the UFC roster, we can do it pretty quickly. Where do I come in? No, let me lead the pack. Yeah, I would like to be part of the first wave if we did that,” Jones concluded.

Perhaps a new discussion needs to take over the internet: 'how many gorillas does it take to defeat Jon Jones? '
