Paddy had success working calf kicks during the first round. While the Englishman dominated the center of the Octagon and landed good jabs, Chandler closed the distance and landed a wide-ranging takedown from the clinch. The two returned to the exchange after the British fighter tried a flying triangle. The round ended with Pimblett landing good jabs.

Paddyy started to feint a lot in the second round, while Chandler advanced and tried to land good blows. The Englishman frustrated the former Bellator champion's approach with a high volume of blows, which forced the American to look for more takedowns from the clinch. At a certain point, Iron tried to control the back, and at this moment the Evil One reversed the position and ended the round landing good elbows.

Early in the next round, the Englishman landed the best blow of the entire fight when he landed a knee to the American's face. The attack opened a deep cut on Chandler's left cheek and from that moment on, Pimblett went on the attack and landed long combinations. The fight went to the ground and there, Pimblett won by technical knockout at three minutes and seven seconds after landing several punches and elbows from the back.
