There are only a few days left to face Paddy Pimblett in the co-main event of UFC 314, Michael chandler does not seem to have any intention of revisiting the past after next weekend. In addition to the duel with the English, this Saturday's event (12) also brings the debut of Patricio Pitbull, a former opponent and rival of the fighter. Even with the possibility of re-enacting one of the most notorious fights in Bellator's history in the Ultimate, he assures that he does not have this scenario in mind, at least at the moment.

In a press conference during the half day do UFC 314, last Wednesday (9), 'Iron' declared that he does not hold a grudge against the Brazilian, who knocked him out in the first round in May 2019. In addition, the 38-year-old fighter also brought an interesting perspective on the difference between his personal life and his career as a professional athlete.

“I don’t think so. I’m not interested in that (rematch). There may be a misconception about me, but I’m not the kind of guy who needs revenge. I sleep very well at night knowing that I’ve had my losses. I don’t need to fix what went wrong because, at the end of the day, fighting is not the most important thing in my life.

The victory crowned the fighter as the new Bellator lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg). While celebrating the triumph, Iron was challenged by Patrício, at the time the holder of the belt in the lower category. The two only faced each other three years later.
