Alexander Volkanovski , Diego Lopes ' next opponent in the UFC 314 octagon , adopts a candid stance when analyzing the Brazilian's chances of beating him on April 12th in Miami (USA). Aware of his opponent's violent style, the former featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) suggested that his rival maintain the same approach, as that will be his only chance of winning.
“They can catch me, so I think he needs to be reckless to beat me. If he (Diego) tries to make this fight perfect, it won’t work. He needs to try to be reckless and catch me. This is his best chance, so he’s going to do what we all know he’s going to do and what he’s been doing, which is exciting for the fans, but it opens a lot of doors for me. (There’s) a lot I can capitalize on and that I will capitalize on,” Volkanovski declared in an interview with Fox Sports Australia.
