One of the most anticipated fights of next month is unlikely to happen. 'Sons of Alex Poatán’, Jamahal hill e Khalil rountree were scheduled to face each other in the octagon on April 26, in the main fight of UFC Kansas. However, according to the podcast 'MMA Today', the duel was cancelled.

The news was given first hand this Sunday (30) on the profile of 'X' (old Twitter) of 'MMA Today'. According to the publication, the UFC Kansas main event was dropped because Jamahal hill had to withdraw from the card as he continues to treat a leg injury that worsened after the loss to Jiri Prochazka No. UFC 311. (see below)

The fight between the two American light heavyweights (up to 93kg) was highly anticipated by fans, including Alex Poatán, who came to give his opinion on who would be the winner of the duel. Both Hill and Rountree suffered defeats in their attempt to take the belt from the Brazilian, which now belongs to the Russian Magomed Ankalayev.
If the news of the fight being dropped is confirmed, the question is who should face Rountree at UFC Kansas. In addition to Ankalaev, Poatan and Hill are ranked above the American. Jiri Prochazka, Carlos Ulberg (which rose three positions), Jan Blachowicz e Aleksandar rakic.
