About three weeks after the UFC 313, the 'war' of words between Alex Poatán e Magomed Ankalayev remains very much alive, keeping the climate hot for the probable rematch, not yet confirmed by the organization. Quite active on social media, the new light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) used the space to respond to some comments regarding the victory over the Brazilian on March 8.

In a post on the social network 'X' in the early hours of this Thursday (27), Ankalaev countered the narrative that his rival had fought injured and sick in UFC 313. The Russian highlighted the fact that he had only four weeks to prepare for the fight and indicated that the Ultimate knew that the Brazilian's chances would be greater in that period.

“I only trained four weeks for my last fight. The UFC knows that was his (Poatan) best chance,” wrote the champion.

In another post, Ankalaev spoke again about Poatan's complaints about the fight on the fence, highlighted the fact that he had injured his rival in the stand-up fight and made a bold promise for the eventual rematch.

“He’s upset because I held him against the fence, but he’s not upset because I almost knocked him out. No one in the world thinks you won. The next fight will be by knockout before the third round,” he concluded.
