The possible rivalry between Charles of the Bronx e Ilia Topuria became a hot topic in the UFC universe after comments from Joe Rogan on his podcast, 'JRE Podcast'. The presenter questioned the viability of a direct confrontation between the Brazilian and the Spaniard, but highlighted the interest in seeing the fight come to fruition in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg).
“I like the idea of Topuria versus Do Bronx. He (Charles) is tall, dangerous in all areas, with a significant reach advantage. The lightweights are big, and Islam (Makhachev) is huge,” Rogan said, without mentioning official plans from the organization.

Neither of them have any fights scheduled in the organization.
