The two UFC heavyweight champions (up to 120,2 kg) are locked in a rivalry that could culminate in the biggest fight of all time. Despite having defended the organization's top-weight belt only once, Jon Jones may be on its way to becoming the holder with more time reign in division history. The lineal champion would reach this milestone if he actually had the six months who asked to prepare to face the interim champion Tom aspinall.

With 'Bones' being instructed to leave the vacant title if he doesn't want to unify the belts against the Brit, things are pretty quiet on that front, despite some positive signs here and there. However, Aspinall now have another proposal to face the greatest of all time, even if, for that to happen, it has to be inside the WWE ring.

During WWE's stop in Manchester last year, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes took Tom aspinall to the ring inside the same building where he defeated Curtis blaydes to defend his interim title at UFC 304. On April 21, Rhodes will defend his title against fellow actor John Cena, who recently turned heel in his retirement year, to set up the biggest fight of the year at 'WrestleMania 41'. (see below)

With WWE and UFC under the same 'TKO' banner, the potential for a crossover isn't entirely unrealistic, and with that in mind, Aspinall has a proposal. In a recent interview with 'The Schmo' during UFC fight week, UFC London, Aspinall joked that he might join forces with Rhodes to take on Jon Jones and John Cena in a tag team match for WWE.

“That’s my retirement plan. Cody Rhodes is my guy, so yeah, me and Cody, we’ll have a fight one day. I think we can team up because we’re both babyfaces, aren’t we, me and Cody. Maybe we could fight as Jon Jones and whoever the heel is there, who's the main heel? Well, John Cena just turned heel, so Cody Rhodes, Tom aspinall, tag team against Jon Jones and John Cena. Baby faces versus heels,” joked Aspinall. (watch below)

In case you don't understand the terms in professional wrestling, being a babyface means that you are presented and treated by the fans as the good guy, while a heel is the bad guy. Throughout his rivalry with Jon Jones, Tom aspinall was definitely seen as the 'good guy'.

Much like John Cena's turn into a villain, it's not that fans don't respect the career he's set to end in the near future, but Cody Rhodes is the new star on the block who is delivering what fans want to see. The dynamic between the two heavyweight titleholders is a combination of Aspinall winning over audiences as the new guy, while Jones has fallen out of favor due to to your conduct in the last times.
