Definitely the triumph against Raphael Fiziev in the rematch during the UFC 313 did not come smoothly to Justin gaethje. Even though the American got the better of him, the war inside the octagon left marks on his body. Last Saturday (15), Destaque went to social media to show the state of his toes a week after the pay-per-view.

“They already showed my feet on TV, so here they are a week after the fight. That’s for dragging my feet on the canvas when I throw punches. Don’t you want to be an Ultimate Fighter?” the former interim lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) said in the post, in addition to referencing a famous Dana White quote.

Despite the injuries, Gaethje's effort paid off. In addition to the victory, which officially put him in the running for a possible opportunity for the belt, he and Fiziev were awarded the Fight of the Night bonus, which is worth US$50 thousand (more than R$287 thousand, at the current exchange rate).
