“It was a big and important test for me, five rounds, difficult, because I am at a high level. I am with killers, monsters, I need to be ready for anything that can happen. And this fight was very important for me, first of all, mentally, so I can go for five difficult rounds,” he said.

When comparing the two fights, he highlighted the need to be more cautious in his approaches, especially due to the resilience of the Italian, who has never been knocked out or submitted as a professional.
“In the first fight I was going hard just because of my aggression, but now I was ready. I was controlling my aggression, and that’s a very important key for me. I can’t go hard and die in the first round, but I can go hard for five rounds, and still keep going,” he said.

For the sequel, the Georgian expressed his desire to face better-known names, such as, Israel adesanya e Robert whittaker.
“You know, I deserve a top-five fight, 100 percent, and there are two realistic fights for me. It’s Whittaker or Adesanya. Let’s go! Just give me one day, that’s all I need. Nothing more. And you know, I can fight in five days. Just give me a little time to make weight. That’s it,” he concluded.
