Amid anticipation for the announcement of his next UFC fight, Tom aspinall continues to move fans. In a video published on his YouTube channel, the interim heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) evaluated the main Ultimate athletes and distributed grades. However, the final classification generated surprise.

Using a scale of zero to ten, Aspinall was generous and rated Alex Poatán with a score of 9. What caught the public's attention the most, however, was the fact that the Brazilian was below Dricus Du Plessis, who shared the top of the ranking with Jon Jones, both receiving 9,5.
Even after losing the light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg) to Magomed Ankalaev, Poatan set a record by making three title defenses in the shortest time in history and was named the best fighter of 2024, having knocked out all his challengers. Du Plessis won the middleweight belt in a split decision against Sean Strickland and defended it twice, first against Israel adesanya and then again against Strickland in the UFC 312.
