Conor McGregor is an increasingly unpopular figure in his home country of Ireland. At a Limp Bizkit concert in the capital, the former two-time UFC champion was loudly booed when his name was announced on stage. (see video below)

McGregor hasn't fought since breaking his leg in the fight against Dustin poirier, in July 2021. Since then, he has been involved in a series of controversies that have tarnished his reputation.

He was investigated by the police after encourage protesters to burn down buildings that held migrants in Dublin. He lost a lawsuit civil in Ireland for sexual assault and had another civil Procedure for open sexual assault in Miami. Most recently, declared that the fighter Paul Hughes wasn't really Irish because he's from Derry in the North.
