Conor McGregor is an increasingly unpopular figure in his native Ireland. At a Limp Bizkit concert in the capital, the former two-time UFC champion was loudly booed when his name was announced on stage. (see video below)

McGregor hasn't fought since breaking his leg in the fight against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Since then, he has been involved in a series of controversies that have tarnished his reputation.
He was investigated by police after encouraging protesters to burn buildings housing migrants in Dublin. He lost a civil lawsuit in Ireland for sexual assault and had another civil lawsuit for sexual assault opened against him in Miami. More recently, he stated that wrestler Paul Hughes wasn't really Irish because he's from Derry in the North.
