In the post, Turner recalled the beginning of his journey, which began a decade ago, and how satisfied he feels with his achievements within the sport. He joined the organization via the Dana White Contender Series in 2018. In the UFC, he shared the octagon with names of the caliber of Dan Hooker, Renato Moicano, Mateusz gamrot e Vincent Luque.

“Thank you for all the love and support! I started training MMA at the age of 18 in 2013. I started training in my backyard, a kid born in SoCal, LA, raised in IE, with no path and a big dream. God opened the door for MMA when I didn’t know where else to go. I gave myself four years to fight in a major promotion and I did it in the fifth year when I made it to the UFC in 2018… I made it to the top 10 in the toughest division… I was featured in a video game… Looking back, it doesn’t seem real,” said the now former athlete.

Also in the publication, Tarantula, as announced by Bruce Buffer, confessed to not having the same motivation as before, but at the same time, like most retirements in MMA, he made it clear that his decision could change in the future.

“I love you all. I’m sorry I lost my focus and fire sooner than expected, 29 years of youth are on my good side. I wish I could respond to everyone’s messages. Know that all of your positivity has helped me more than any of you know. I appreciate everything! Things can change… We’ll see what the future holds,” he concluded.
