Djorden Santos was the first Brazilian to step into the octagon at UFC 313 , delivering a striking spectacle to the audience at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (USA). Both the Brazilian and Ozzy Diaz showed great determination in the cage . However, the American's resistance prevailed, securing a unanimous decision victory (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

In a boxing match, Brazilian can't stand up to Ozzy Diaz's resistance
Djorden started the fight dominating the center of the octagon. After gauging distance, the Brazilian was the first to strike, landing jabs . Santos' left arm continued to work well in the following minutes. Diaz felt compelled to respond equally, with both fighters on equal footing. A straight punch from the American landed well. It was time to diversify strikes, and Djorden opted for low kicks . But quickly, the fighters returned to exchanging blows to the head. They engaged in a sequence of straight punches. Two well-placed crosses from the Brazilian at the end energized the T-Mobile Arena.
The second round began with a good sequence of punches from Djorgen to Diaz's face. An attempt at a double leg takedown was thwarted by the American. The Brazilian showed a diverse repertoire with straight punches, jabs , and low kicks . The two displayed a typical boxing match for a good portion of the round. Powerful blows connected with each other. In another attempt at grappling, Santos lost his balance. The fight returned to standing. Djorden landed a good combination that was answered with a straight punch. After much striking, the round ended with Djorden celebrating the power of his crosses and straight punches.
The third round began like the others: a lot of striking. Ozzy's straight punches were answered with crosses. More boxing took place in the octagon in the following minutes. Diaz began to introduce a new tactic: elbow strikes. Sensing the Brazilian's fatigue, his opponent attempted a knee strike. Following this, Ozzy Diaz landed a strong combination of punches . The mutual fatigue was evident. With his guard down, Santos received clean blows, but didn't stop connecting with punches. And during a high kick attempt by Diaz, Santos grabbed his leg and took his opponent to the ground. On the ground, the fight ended.
