One of Mitchell's controversial conspiracy theories is that the Earth it is not round. Jean Silva then provoked his rival by taking a globe to the press conference UFC 314. (see below)

When Mitchell took the microphone, he was met with a deafening chorus of boos from the crowd. He was asked if he had anything to say about the comments on his podcast, calling Adolf Hitler of 'a good guy'. Before he could speak, Silva interrupted him by starting a chant of 'F**k Bryce mitchell' Soon, the fans asked for the traditional bark made by the Brazilian, who complied with the requests. Irritated, the North American responded.

After forcing Mitchell to lower the microphone without finishing a religious speech, Jean Silva used an interpreter to deliver a very direct message. He noted that fans were not interested in hearing anything more from his rival, and explained how plans to silence him in April.

“Bryce, you’ll start seeing the world round soon. Hey, hey, Bryce mitchell, calm down, bro, you're only here because of me. I got some advice for you, don't grab the mic, it's getting ugly. Don't do that, man, nobody wants to hear you. I gotta tell you something. Get used to seeing the world as round, Bryce, you know what's crazy? You don't even believe in yourself. Bryce mitchell, relax, everyone here believes in Christ, right? Don't be mad, baby, baby, calm down,” he teased.

Soon after, the featherweight fighters came face to face for the first time in an intense onstage face-off. (see below)

Beyond the globe, Jean Silva was also dressed in a t-shirt alluding to the film 'Inglourious Basterds' (2009), by Quentin Tarantino, which tells a fictional story about a group of Jewish soldiers who fought Nazi leaders during World War II.
