Rob font The Brazilian started boxing with everything he had, using his grappling to try to stop his opponent's attacks. First he managed to press the American against the fence and then with a takedown, but he was unable to secure a triangle choke.

Jean Matsumoto started the second round taking the fight to the ground, but Rob font managed to free himself to keep the fight standing. With the American keeping his distance to avoid takedowns, the Brazilian began to use good footwork to dodge the attacks.

With the fight in the third round, Jean was instructed by the coaches to avoid takedowns and try to land blows to score points. Two minutes in, the tip of Rob's elbow landed and split Jean's eyebrow, who responded with a left cross. Even with the grappling call off and the cut bleeding, the Brazilian was a warrior and continued to the end, but saw his opponent win by a split decision from the judges.
