husband of Paige Vanzant, Austin vanderford starred in remarkable moments when facing Uzbek Mikolay Veretennikov in the third fight of the UFC Seattle, in a fight with a catchweight of 175 pounds (79,3 kg). A Bellator veteran, the American made his successful debut in the Ultimate by winning by technical knockout in the second round, but was attacked by his opponent after the duel was interrupted.

The American, originally a welterweight (up to 77,1 kg) accepted the fight with just four days' notice to take advantage of the opportunity to debut in the biggest MMA organization in the world.
Falls decided the course of the fight
Vaderford took the initiative from the very beginning of the fight, dominating the center of the octagon and establishing his jab, while the Uzbek avoided the American's feints and tried to land powerful blows. Clearly smaller than Veretennikov, Vanderford managed a wide-ranging takedown before the two-minute mark and also opened a cut on his opponent's forehead with punches and elbows from inside his guard. In the final part of the round, he came close to ending the fight with a katagatame.
In the second round, the Uzbek tried to move forward and be more aggressive, but was cornered against the fence and knocked down again. From this point on, Vanderford began to land strong blows that forced referee Kevin McDonald to stop the fight at four minutes and 13 seconds into the second round.

Fighter was attacked after victory
Visibly upset with the interruption, Veretennikov protested to the referee and then walked towards Vanderford. The two exchanged shoves and the American made obscene gestures towards his opponent. The event staff was quick to prevent the argument from escalating into violence.

Ricky Simon 'turned the lights off' on Javid Basharat
In the next fight, the owner of the house, Ricky simon raised the crowd to win Javid Basharat still in the first round with a brutal knockout. This was the veteran's ninth victory in the Ultimate, who with the triumph ended a sequence of three consecutive defeats, suffered against song yadong, mario bautista e Vinicius Lokdog.
Throughout the fight, Simon was the more aggressive fighter and sought to make his opponent uncomfortable with a series of takedowns. After a few minutes of exchanging strength in the grappling match, the American landed a strong right hand to his opponent's chin, knocking him out after three minutes and 58 seconds of the fight.
