Tatiana Suarez breaks her silence and talks about her loss to Weili Zhang at UFC 312

The first title opportunity in the Ultimate did not go as planned for Tatiana Suarez placeholder image. The American had her plans frustrated in UFC 312 by the champion Weili Zhang, who won his third title defense successful after winning by unanimous decision. In addition to the title, Tatiana dropped one position in the organization's women's strawweight division (up to 52,1 kg) – now yan xiaonan is the first – and he also lost his unbeaten record in his MMA career, with a record now of 11 wins and one loss.

This Tuesday (11), the athlete went to 'Instagram' where she made a statement addressing the defeat suffered by Weili.

Win, lose or draw, I'm exactly where I want to be. Doing what I love to do every day of my life. I have the best people around me who love me for who I am. Living the dream! I'm blessed to have this life. And I will share these experiences with my children and future generations. At 34 years old, Suarez was victorious in his first 10 professional fights before UFC 312. That streak included seven triumphs in the Octagon, with notable victories over the likes of Jessica Andrade, Carla esparza e Alexa grasso along the way. While the Californian has long been touted as a future champion, injuries have hampered her progress, including a three-plus-year absence from 2019 to 2013 and a roughly 16-month layoff between her win over Andrade and her title shot against Zhang.
