The reason for the middleweight's online uprising is not known. Some point to the resurgence of a 2023 video in which Alex Poatán calls Chimaev a 'dog's ass'. But there is still no certainty about such a reaction from the naturalized Emirati Chechen.

The 2024 Fighter of the Year is about to return to the Octagon. After much mutual testing and speculation, Magomed Ankalayev e Alex Poatán top the card do UFC 313. The event is scheduled for March 8th. Packed with Brazilian fighters, the promotion will be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (USA). The champion's opponent is the current number one in the light heavyweight rankings.
