At the end of the preliminary card of the UFC 312, held in Australia this Saturday (8), Gabriel Mosquitinho needed to turn the fight around to overcome Jack Jenkins and 'shut up' the audience present in Sydney, Australia. The Brazilian had Charles of the Bronx in his corner, he finished with a rear naked choke in the third round and achieved his second consecutive victory in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg).

With this result, Mosquitinho is successful in his first fight with Chute Boxe. The Brazilian now has a record of 12 wins and two losses. In an interview while still in the octagon, he declared that his son, Vitinho, will be born in March and celebrated the achievement.
Jenkins, in turn, was one of the most celebrated athletes on the preliminary card, but failed to achieve a positive result after a good start. The Australian has a record of 13 wins and four losses in his career in mixed martial arts.
Gabriel Mosquitinho is almost knocked out, has a comeback and applies a rear naked choke at UFC 313
In true Chute Boxe style, Gabriel started out active and applied an aggressive style. The Brazilian pressed and tried to land strikes at close range. However, one strike almost changed everything. He received a high kick from Jenkins and fell down groggy. He showed active guard, pulled a triangle and, with guidance from Charles of the Bronx, came close to getting the finish. Jack remained calm and got out of danger. Mosquitinho then reversed the position and ended up hitting from above.
The second round went well for Gabriel. The Brazilian from Chute Boxe landed on top and worked calmly to progress from guard to half guard. He also hurt his opponent with elbows that were uncomfortable.
Mosquitinho's balance was good. After Diego Lima asked him to try his ground game, the fighter surprised him and landed a front kick that made Jack feel it. Instead of continuing to exchange punches to get the knockout, he used the strategy to take down and get the back of the Australian.
