Alexander Topuria, brother of the UFC featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg), Ilia Topuria, make your debut in the organization this Saturday (8), at UFC 312, in Australia. The bantamweight fighter (up to 61,2 kg.) faces Colby Thicknesse, a pupil of Alexander Volkanovsky, who lost the belt to 'El Matador' early last year. The fight marks the first reunion of the rivals, who will be in opposite corners as coaches.

With the rising stardom of Ilia Topuria, he has been constantly compared to the controversial former UFC double champion, Conor McGregor. 'El Matador' has not only been accused of copying the Irish star, but the two have also been at each other's throats on social media. However, Ilia isn't the only one being accused of imitating 'The Notorious'. During the weigh-in for the UFC 312, fans noticed a strong resemblance between Topuria's brother and McGregor.
Like Ilia, the 29-year-old fighter is covered in tattoos, and fans have noticed that one of them is almost identical to McGregor's, running from the top of his neck down his spine. Throughout his career, the Irishman's tattoos have become iconic, especially the 'Silverback Gorilla' on his chest. The tattoo running down 'The Notorious' spine depicts a helix of thorns and above it is a winged crucifix.(see below)

Fans react to Aleksandre Topuria's resemblance to McGregor
Of course, such a similarity between Aleksandre and 'The Notorious' would 'break the internet'. See below some reactions from fans:
“McGregor has a significant influence on MMA, and it is natural that some fighters express their respect for him in various ways, such as tattoos that reflect his style.”
“It’s definitely not a coincidence. At first, I thought it was just a younger photo of Conor. That said, I can’t stand it when people try to imitate someone else down to the last detail.”
“They both have a weird obsession with him. Imagine both brothers getting tattoos that are almost identical to his. Kind of creepy.”
Aleksandre 'El Conquistador', who is two years older than Ilia, is considered by many to have a higher ceiling than his brother and, ahead of his debut, claimed he could beat the UFC featherweight champion.
