Renato Moicano is outraged by the treatment he has received Michael chandler receives in the UFC. The American, who has already fought for the title and continues to receive good opportunities, even with a negative record in the organization, recently had his name involved in a possible fight against Arman Tsarukyan, at UFC 314, scheduled for April 12 in Miami. That was what got the Brazilian mad.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Moicano criticized the fact that Chandler is possibly lined up to face the number one in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg), even though he is coming off a losing streak. The Brasilia native recalled that this is not the first time that the American has had his life made easier by the UFC.

“It doesn’t make any sense and I’ll show you why. First, Chandler gets special treatment in the UFC. He arrived in the UFC practically already fighting for the belt. Tell me, who arrives in the UFC and is already fighting for the belt? I want to know what’s going on. This is MMA. Let’s suppose that Chandler lands a hand with his eyes closed and knocks Tsarukyan down. Will he fight for the belt again after I don’t know how many losses?” said Moicano.
The Brazilian questions the possibility of Chandler beating Tsarukyan, but emphasizes that, if that happens, the American should not fight for the belt with a record of only two wins in the UFC.
“Will he beat Tsarukyan? I don’t know. But if that happens, my brother, he will fight for the belt with a record like this: two wins and four losses in the UFC,” concluded the fighter from Brasília.
Michael chandler arrived at the UFC, with Bellator champion status, in January 2021. In his debut, 'Iron' knocked out Dan Hooker and, in the very next fight, he had the opportunity to fight for the title, but was defeated by Charles of the Bronx. After losing to the Brazilian, Chandler entered the octagon four more times and only had his arm raised on one of those occasions.
Moicano, in turn, debuted in the UFC in 2014 and only had his chance to fight for the belt in 2025, after four consecutive victories and an unexpected injury to Arman Tsarukyan, which should fight against Islam makhachev.
