The victory against Shara Magomedov in the co-main event of UFC Saudi Arabia brought an unusual situation for Michael Page . A natural welterweight (up to 77,1 kg), the Englishman achieved a triumph against an undefeated opponent ranked in the higher weight class. Despite having announced before the fight his intention to return to his natural weight, some people have thought differently, such as his namesake and compatriot, Michael Bisping.

The former UFC middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) and current commentator for the company expressed his opinion regarding 'MVP' in a video published on his YouTube channel.
“MVP, I would like to see him stay at 84 pounds — but he told us on the post-fight show that he wants to go back to 77 pounds. He wants that belt. He feels like he still has work to do, and I question that,” he said.
Michael Page could stay at middleweight permanently, right? That would be great. He has some good fights in him!

Still addressing the technical issue behind his opinion, Bisping cited grappling, Page's known Achilles heel.
"There are many wrestlers weighing 77kg. Of course, you have Belal Muhammad , Shavkat Rakhmonov, who you'd think would definitely wrestle with the MVP if they fought him. There's Kamaru Usman and many, many others."
