The PFL kicks off 2025 with the organization's first-ever event in Dubai. In the main event, Usman Nurmagomedov tries to maintain the supremacy of the Dagestan Clan among lightweights (up to 70,3 kg.) by defending the Bellator belt (up to 70,3 kg.) against Paul Hughes, in a duel that has been promoted by the company as Dagestan vs. Ireland 2, in reference to the confrontation of Khabib Nurmagomedov e Conor McGregor, held in 2018, at UFC 229.

In the co-main event, the former Bellator light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg.) and pupil of Fedor Emelianenko, Vadim nemkov, tries to maintain his winning streak among heavyweights (up to 120,2 kg) by facing American Tim Johnson.

In the first fight of the main card, Brazilian Cleiver Fernandes faces undefeated Russian Renat Khavalov in a duel valid for the bantamweight category (up to 61,2 kg). The Rio native has a record of nine wins and only one loss. Five of his triumphs were by submission.
