Arman Tsarukyan didn't like seeing the presentation of Renato Moicano No. UFC 311. The Armenian, who had to leave the fight at the last minute in front of Islam makhachev due to a back injury, had the Brazilian as a substitute and was surprised by the 'ease' with which the Russian finished in the first round. The duel was valid for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg).
In an interview with 'The Jaxxon Podcast', Arman Tsarukyan, who closely follows the lightweight title contenders, did not hide his surprise at the ease with which Makhachev defeated the Brazilian. For the Armenian, Moicano could have offered more resistance.

“I watched the fight. I thought Moicano could do much more than he did. It was very easy. I was surprised how easily he gave up. Maybe he was nervous or something, but Islam is one of the best. I would have liked to see more rounds. Moicano took a risk, which was to fight one of the best,” Tsarukyan said.
Regarding the relationship between Tsarukyan and Moicano, it is worth noting that they both train at the same gym, the renowned 'American Top Team' (ATT) and have the same coach, Marcos Parrumpinha. However, Arman made it clear that there is no direct link between him and the Brazilian.
“We don’t train together. Since we’re both lightweights, it’s like we could fight one day. I don’t mind training with anyone. It’s not hard to have the same coach (Marcos Parrumpinha), because there are different levels of fighters. I know I’m the best in the world. People don’t remember, but we were scheduled to fight, but he got injured two weeks before. It was a main event,” said the Armenian.
