One of the biggest stars in world MMA today, Alex Poatán had to fight hard inside and outside the ring to reach stardom, dividing training with work as a tire repairman. The younger sister of the UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg), Aline Pereira has been following a similar path, including difficulties, in search of success.
At 34 years old and looking to establish herself in martial arts, Aline Pereira spoke out, in an interview with 'MMA Fighting', about the difficulties in reconciling training with the work she does as a delivery person for 'Amazon' in the United States.

“I deliver for Amazon. We do what we have to do. This routine is very tiring, because I have to balance training with work, but everything works out in the end. It’s not easy. I make deliveries for four and a half hours. But it’s great to be here in the United States. It’s good for me and also for my son,” said Poatan’s sister.
Like her brother, Aline got her start in martial arts through kickboxing, before moving on to MMA, where she had only one win and two losses in the LFA. Currently, the São Paulo native competes for Karate Combat, an organization where she debuted with a spectacular knockout that went viral on social media in October of last year.
While continuing to practice wrestling and jiu-jitsu with Poatan and company at the academy Glover Teixeira, thinking about an eventual return to MMA, Aline is full of praise for the current organization and promises to seek another knockout on her return to the 'pit', this Friday (24), against Argentine Gisela Luna.
“I’m very excited. I loved my debut. Karate Combat is very different, isn’t it? I came here well prepared last time and it won’t be any different this time. I’m going to put on another show. The organization is growing and it’s great to be a part of it. They value the athlete a lot. We train to knock out, right? My brother and I are very technical and we always work for the knockout, but I can’t promise. It’s funny because last time I said I would knock her out. I had never said that before a fight, but she was talking a lot of nonsense,” she concluded.
