anthony hernandez is excited for 2025. The middleweight (up to 83,9kg), which faces Brendan allen No. UFC Seattle, scheduled for February 22, plans to be in a position to fight for the belt by the end of the year.
In an interview with MMA Junkie Radio, Hernandez stated that his goal is to be in a position to fight for the belt by the end of the year, as long as he can stay healthy. The American said that his ultimate goal is to win the belt before he retires, which he considers his dream and the key to achieving other goals in his life.
“As long as I can stay healthy, my goal is to be in a position to fight for the belt by the end of the year. So if I have to knock out two more guys or get a big win, I don’t care. I’m not getting any younger. My goal is to get the belt, hold it for a while and then retire. That’s the dream. That should prepare me for all the things I want to do in life,” Hernandez said.

In a good phase of his career, Hernandez expressed that he has noticed an increase in support from fans. The fighter highlighted that, by focusing on hard work and not seeking attention, the results end up appearing, and people begin to recognize his effort.
“I’ve definitely seen a lot more people around me saying they’re going to see me be a champion in 2025. It’s amazing to see that if you just stay quiet and work hard, it will show. People are starting to see that. I’m just keeping my head down and keeping working.” anthony hernandez.
