The simple proximity between Charles of the Bronx e Islam makhachev during interviews generated one of the most talked about moments of the UFC 311, held last Saturday (18), in Los Angeles (USA). The tension between the two fighters, who already have a history of rivalry in the octagon, was evident even outside it, when the Russian approached the Brazilian while both were speaking to journalists.

The scene seemed calm at first glance, but the atmosphere between the two athletes, side by side, said it all. After Islam's victory over Renato Moicano by submission, the Russian found himself once again at the top of the lightweight division, with his fourth successful title defense. But the one there, watching intently, was Charles, who has one clear desire: a rematch against Makhachev.

In a post-event report, Charles explained that his intention was to step into the octagon and challenge the Russian in front of everyone, but the UFC did not authorize it. The former champion does not hide his desire to correct the result of the first fight.

The interaction between the two was captured by the cameras of the UFC Fight Pass and quickly went viral on social media, with fans speculating about what was to come. Charles himself, in an interview, spoke about his desire for a rematch, but highlighted the difficulty in obtaining authorization from the organization for the fight.
