“I’m just going to do one more fight. I’ve been wanting to fight for a while, but I needed to get my body ready. It’s no secret, I’ve had a lot of injuries in my career, so I wanted to make sure I was ready and not just take another fight injured. I don’t need to fight like this anymore,” explained the former champion.

Rob font, however, was not the first choice of Dominick Cruz as an opponent in his farewell fight. The former bantamweight champion said he would like a rematch against Henry Cejudo, scheduled to face song yadong also at UFC Seattle.

“I wanted the fight with Henry. I wanted rematches. Henry didn’t accept the fight at all, so they put him on the same card as me. I don’t know why Henry didn’t accept the rematch. It could be because I made him feel very embarrassed with my words and he probably doesn’t want to go through that again,” he concluded.
