The historical rivalry between Anderson Silva e Vitor belfort gained a new chapter on social media, months after statements from the 'Phenomenon' about the defeat he suffered at UFC 126. This time, the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) of the organization did not speak directly, but made his opinion clear through a curious reaction: a series of laughing 'emojis' in response to the comment.
Instead of commenting directly on the matter, 'Spider' decided to speak out through his Instagram account, in one of his posts. SUPER FIGHTS (see here). In the comments, the former champion limited himself to leaving laughing emojis, a reaction that, for many, could be interpreted as an indirect message to the former challenger.

In September of 2024, Vitor belfort gave an interview to the program 'ESPN Knockout', where he spoke about his loss to Anderson Silva, which took place in February 2011. For the former light heavyweight champion, that setback was caused by a strategic error, and, if he had had more opportunities to face his tormentor, the result would have been different.
“I was superior to him in boxing and on the ground, but at that moment, I couldn't execute my strategy. I think if we fought ten times, I would lose this one and win the other nine,” said Belfort.
