Luana pinheiro stepped into the octagon this Saturday (9) with the mission of reversing a difficult sequence within the UFC. But she didn't succeed. Although she applied good attacks and survived well on the ground, she didn't do enough to overcome the Canadian Gillian robertson and saw his third consecutive defeat recorded by unanimous decision of the judges.
With this, the Brazilian complicates her situation within the company. Luana pinheiro was knocked out by Amanda ribas in November last year and completed by Angela Hill in May of this year. Now, the Paraíba native's record is 11 wins against four losses.

With good moments held, the fight was defined in the details
The first round started with study and low kicks. Robertson threw the Brazilian to the ground. Taking advantage at times, Gillian took the fight to the fence. When she managed to get some distance, Luana attempted a spinning kick that didn't connect. The fight went back to the ground, close to the wall. The referee had to stop the fight and warn the Brazilian for holding onto the fence several times.
The Brazilian started the second round better, with good attacks with her leg. The Canadian tried a clinch to get away, but couldn't get the Brazilian to the fence. Luana managed to land some good boxing combinations. While Robertson tried to reach Luana's legs, the Brazilian landed straight shots or defended herself well. In the end, Gillian still tried high kicks that had no effect.
The recently released '12-6' elbow was the tone of the first minutes of the third round. The Canadian invested in the method to try to win the fight quickly, while the Brazilian defended herself. The left hand strikes were Robertson's trump card for much of the round. Luana pinheiro managed to sweep, tried a choke, but lost the grip. Gillian managed to reverse it and get on top. That's when she tried a 'katagatame', which was thwarted by Luana. There was no time for anything else from that point on.

Mansur Abdul-Malik gave a public lesson in connecting powerful blows at 'Apex'. In the first round, the American delivered a resounding sequence of blows to Dusko Todorovic. And after a quick relief, another 'blitz' was not supported by the Serbian and the referee stopped the fight, registering a technical knockout. The duel in the middleweight category (up to 83,9 kg) was brief, but brutal.
Malik has brilliant credentials for the UFC. He remains undefeated with seven wins to date.
Dusko Tudorovic, who is coming off a defeat to Christian Leroy Duncan No. UFC 286, now has a record of 12 wins and five losses.
