Brazilians lose their contracts with the organization after losing at UFC Edmonton, in Canada, and stringing together bad results

The UFC has two fewer Brazilians. With uninspiring performances and losses in 2024, Rodrigo Nascimento and Caio Machado had their contracts terminated with the organization this Friday (8). The dismissal occurs less than a week after the two's last fights in the company.

Rodrigo 'Zé Hive' was defeated by Alexander Romanov by unanimous decision in the UFC Edmonton, in Canada, on November 2nd. With few moments of conflict and lack of emotion, the fight for the heavyweight category (up to 120,2 kg) will leave memories for both involved. Losing streak

As for the other Brazilian who was fired, Caio Machado, accumulated a sequence of three losses. The light heavyweight (up to 93kg.) lost to Mick Parkin  by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 232 in November of last year. Then it was Don'Tale Mayes' turn to win by unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 55 in April of this year.

'Bigfoot's' last fight with the company was also at UFC Edmont, like 'Zé Hive'. Caio was surpassed by the also Brazilian Brendson Ribeiro, who won after a split decision by the judges.
