Alex Poatán shook up Saturday afternoon (2) in São Paulo. In an autograph and photo session at Shopping Eldorado, the Brazilian was greeted by a crowd of fans, who cheered him with the traditional cry of 'flame', a trademark of the current UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg).
Moved by the affection of the fans, the champion thanked everyone for coming and highlighted the importance of their support for his career.

“Thank you very much for all of you being here. With the work we are doing, we always expect this (affection from fans). I am very happy about this,” said Poatan, visibly moved.

The fans' euphoria, however, ended up causing a small riot at the venue. The crowd around Poatan was so large that a display of products for sale from a cinema chain was knocked over, and the glass cover shattered on the floor. An advertisement on cardboard material also fell due to the intense movement of the crowd.
Despite the scare, no one was seriously injured in the incident. The mall's security team acted quickly to isolate the area and prevent further problems. The cleaning team was called to collect the broken glass and organize the space.
