Brandon Moreno lived bitter days in 2024. After being defeated by Brandon royval in February in Mexico, his homeland, the fighter stepped away from the octagon for seven months. However, the 'Killer Baby' made a great return this Saturday (2) in the main fight do UFC Edmonton, in Canada. He had a gala performance in his victory against amir albazi, who until then was undefeated in the organization.
During the post-event press conference, one of the journalists asked Moreno what his time away from the UFC octagon was like.
“In the end, we are all human beings. You know we are professional fighters, you know we are tough, but sometimes we need some time to think about ourselves, what we love, recharge our batteries and give 100% in the next fight. And that's what I did, I showed that to the world tonight,” Moreno stressed.

The Mexican is second in the flyweight rankings (up to 56,7kg). The victory over Albazi gave Moreno the strength to dream of winning the category title. He highlighted the good performance shown in Canada and that this will be a habit from now on.
“I would have loved to have fought for the title today. I say that my goal is to maintain this performance in my next fights. I was very connected tonight, I was perfect with my 'team', my distance, attentive with my defense, so I hope to show all of this again to the world in my next fights,” added Moreno.
On December 7th, in Las Vegas (USA), Alexandre pantoja, current flyweight champion, will put his belt on the line for the third time against the newcomer Kai Asakura. Moreno will be watching.
